Which Bitbucket AI code review fits

Code Reviewer is an Atlassian product that writes on the pull request. ThinkReview is the copilot for the reviewer.

Choose ThinkReview if

  • You want the review on the Bitbucket pull request you already have open, without a Marketplace app.
  • You use Bitbucket Data Center, not only bitbucket.org.
  • Findings should stay private until you post the ones that matter, under your name.
  • You do not want a Jira subscription just to review pull requests, and you also review GitHub, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.

Choose Code Reviewer if

  • You already pay for Jira or Teamwork Collection and want comments posted on Bitbucket Cloud for the whole team.
  • You want a repository setting for every new pull request or every commit, not only a manual run.
  • You want the same reviewer on GitHub and Bitbucket Cloud, drawing from one Rovo credit pool.
  • You are fine with a variable credit cost per review, shared with Rovo Chat and other agents.

Same pull request, two review experiences

Code Reviewer leaves feedback as comments. ThinkReview keeps findings beside the diff until the reviewer posts.

Everyone sees the comments

The review is written onto the pull request

  • Feedback is comments on Bitbucket Cloud or GitHub.
  • Default trigger is manual. A repository can switch to every new pull request or every commit.
  • Each run spends a variable number of shared Rovo credits.

One click, one comment

The reviewer reads first and posts only what matters

  • Findings stay in a private panel beside the diff until you post.
  • One click posts the ones you choose, under your name.
  • ThinkReview cannot approve, merge, or block. The human stays in the loop.

Pricing, side by side

ThinkReview is a per-user plan. Code Reviewer spends the Rovo credits included with Jira. The developer count scales ThinkReview seats and the size of the shared Rovo pool. It does not estimate reviews, because Atlassian does not publish a credit cost per review.

ThinkReview Loading live pricing…

Code Reviewer Published allowances, checked 3 Nov 2026

  • ThinkReview prices are loaded live from the same pricing service as the ThinkReview pricing page. Larger teams can contact us about the Teams plan.
  • Code Reviewer is not a separate per-developer SKU. Atlassian includes it with paid Jira or Teamwork Collection. Jira allowances are 25, 70, and 150 Rovo credits per user per month on Standard, Premium, and Enterprise. Teamwork Collection allowances are 250, 700, and 1,500. Credits pool across the organization and are shared with other Rovo features. Source: How Rovo credits work.
  • Extra usage is listed at $0.01 per Rovo credit, or $10 per 1,000 credits. Atlassian says Rovo credit billing for Code Reviewer starts 3 December 2026. A review uses more credits when the pull request, the repository, or your instructions are larger. There is no flat price per review to multiply by team size.
  • The products are not like for like. Code Reviewer can comment automatically on every pull request in Bitbucket Cloud and GitHub. ThinkReview also covers Bitbucket Data Center and does not require Jira.
