ThinkReview MCP - Version 1.4 Release Notes

Release Date: 28 August 2026
Product: MCP

---

🎯 What's New

Severity layout is now the default 🚦

MCP reviews now use the same severity layout as the ThinkReview extension: a PR description plus critical, high, and low issues.

Ask your assistant to review a PR URL and you get prioritized findings instead of a scorecard. Cached reviews for this layout are stored separately, so an older scoring result is not reused by mistake.

Smoother Cursor OAuth 🔐

Cursor can now complete the browser Authenticate flow with ThinkReview MCP. Sign in on the portal, allow access, and start reviewing — no Bearer token required in your Cursor MCP config.

---

🔧 Requirements

- A ThinkReview account with an active plan or available review credits
- A Personal Access Token under Settings → Integrations for the git host of the PR you want to review
- An MCP client that supports Streamable HTTP, plus either:
- OAuth for remote HTTP servers (recommended), or
- Authorization: Bearer from portal.thinkreview.dev/mcp

---

📞 Support

- MCP setup: portal.thinkreview.dev/mcp
- Docs: thinkreview.dev/docs/mcp-integration
- Release notes: thinkreview.dev/release-notes/mcp-v1.4
- Feedback: Share your feedback
