🎯 What's New
Connect GitHub and GitLab without a PAT 🔑
Full Context on GitHub.com and GitLab.com is now a Connect click instead of creating and pasting a personal access token.
- GitHub: Connect with GitHub installs the ThinkReview GitHub App and lets you choose all repos or selected ones. You need permission to install the App on that account or org — not a classic PAT.
- GitLab: Connect with GitLab signs you in with OAuth on gitlab.com and grants the read access ThinkReview needs for reviews.
This is the recommended path: fewer tokens to mint, fewer scopes to remember, and less chance of a stale PAT breaking Full Context.
PAT stays as a fallback 🛟
Option 2 — Add PAT is still there when Connect is not a fit: GitHub Enterprise Server, self-hosted GitLab, orgs that restrict apps, or a fine-grained token limited to specific projects.
Azure DevOps and Bitbucket still use a PAT on Integrations.
