GitHub Enterprise Server (GHES)

GitHub Enterprise Server (GHES)

This page is a brief companion to the main GitHub integration guide, focused only on self‑hosted GitHub Enterprise Server (GHES).

github.com vs GHES

  • github.com: ThinkReview works out of the box once you install the extension. No extra setup is required.

  • GitHub Enterprise Server (GHES, self‑hosted): You need to add your custom GHES domain so the extension knows where to run.

Setup for GHES

  • Open the ThinkReview browser extension popup.

  • Scroll to GitHub Integration → GitHub Enterprise Server (GHES) Domains.

  • Add your GHES instance domain, for example:

  • - https://github.mycompany.com
  • When the browser asks for permission for that domain, click Allow.

  • Navigate to a Pull Request on your GHES instance with a URL like:

  • - /org/repo/pull/123
  • You should now see the AI Review button on the bottom right and can run reviews as usual.
  • For more details about features and troubleshooting, see the main GitHub Integration guide.
