ThinkReview is not a bot — an empowering copilot

ThinkReview is built differently from tools that auto-post review comments as a bot. We're an empowering copilot that keeps the human factor at the center. The review is always visible only to you; you chat and generate comments in the extension, then you revise, edit, and post the review comments and suggestions yourself.

Why we're not an automated bot

Many AI review tools act like automated bots: they post comments and suggestions under their own identity (or on your behalf without a clear handoff). That can blur who actually did the review and can feel opaque or out of your control.

ThinkReview is designed so that nothing is posted until you decide to. The AI helps you think and draft; you stay in charge of what gets published. That keeps the human in the loop and keeps credit and responsibility where they belong—with the reviewer.

How ThinkReview keeps the human factor

  • Visible only to the reviewer — Generated reviews and suggestions are shown in the extension to you first. They are not visible to the author or the rest of the team until you choose to add them to the PR.
  • Chat and generate — You use the extension to chat about the code and generate comment drafts. The AI is your assistant, not the account that posts.
  • You revise, edit, and post — You have full control to change the wording, tone, or content. When you're happy, you paste or post the comment at the right line. The comment goes out under your name and with your approval.
  • No stealth automation — We don't post comments automatically. Every suggestion is something you can accept, modify, or ignore.

So the "human factor" isn't reduced—it's you deciding what to say and when to say it, with the copilot speeding up the thinking and drafting.

Here's a quick demonstration of ThinkReview on an Azure DevOps pull request: chat, generate comments, then revise and post yourself—you stay in control.

The Code suggestions tab puts suggestions in your hands—you copy, revise if needed, and post them yourself. The reviewer stays in charge.

What this means for your workflow

You get the benefit of AI (faster drafting, ideas, and consistency) without handing ownership to a bot. Authors see a human reviewer who took the time to comment; you keep the flexibility to align every comment with your standards and team norms. ThinkReview stays in the background as a copilot: helpful when you want it, invisible in the final result unless you choose otherwise.

Try it

If you prefer a copilot that empowers you instead of posting for you, try ThinkReview. We're here to make your reviews better and faster while keeping you in control.
