Kimi K2.6 is now available in ThinkReview

We're excited to announce that Kimi K2.6 from Moonshot AI is now available in ThinkReview. Described in Moonshot's Kimi K2.6 technical blog, this release focuses on state-of-the-art coding, long-horizon execution, and stronger agent-style workflows—so your AI reviews on GitHub, GitLab, Azure DevOps, and Bitbucket can lean on a model built for sustained, tool-heavy engineering tasks.

What is Kimi K2.6?

Kimi K2.6 is Moonshot's latest open-weight model, positioned as a step forward from Kimi K2.5 for complex, multi-step coding and reliable tool use over long sessions. The team highlights improvements on long-horizon coding benchmarks, multilingual software-engineering tasks, and agentic evaluations—alongside an evolved agent swarm experience that coordinates more sub-agents and steps in parallel for end-to-end work.

For day-to-day development, that translates to sharper reasoning over large diffs, more consistent follow-through on multi-file changes, and better behavior when reviews need to reason across documentation, logs, or visual context.

Why use Kimi K2.6 in ThinkReview

  • Coding-first strength — Strong reported results on coding and agentic benchmarks, including long-running terminal and repo-style tasks.
  • Long-horizon reliability — Suited to bigger merge requests and reviews that need sustained context instead of one-shot summaries.
  • Natural upgrade from K2.5 — If you already use Kimi in ThinkReview, K2.6 is the next generation from the same family, with clear emphasis on engineering depth and tool use.
