Refresh Button

Refresh Button

Sometimes you want a fresh perspective or need to bypass the cache. That's what the Refresh button is for.

What it does

When you click Refresh, ThinkReview sends a forceRegenerate signal to the backend. This tells the system to:

  • Bypass Cache: Ignore any existing review for this specific code fingerprint.

  • Re-analyze: Perform a completely new analysis from scratch.

  • Update Cache: Replace the old cached review with this new version.
  • When to use it

    • Second Opinion: AI models can sometimes offer different insights on subsequent attempts.

    • Stale Data: If you suspect the cached review is no longer relevant due to system updates.

    • Verification: To ensure a high security score remains consistent across attempts.

    How it works

  • Click the Refresh icon (circular arrow) in the review panel.

  • The system sends a request with the forceRegenerate flag set to true.

  • A loading indicator will appear while the AI performs the new analysis (usually 10-30 seconds).

  • The updated review, scores, and suggestions will replace the current view.
  • Note: Refreshes count toward your subscription's review limits, just like an initial review. Use them strategically.

TL;DR: The Refresh button forces the system to ignore cached results and generate a brand-new review. Use it when you want a second opinion or to verify that issues have been resolved.
